- 04V The VOlunteers (VTVO) organizes the Hiriyara Jaatre to address a vital but often overlooked need in our society: the well-being and inclusion of elders. While many events focus on children and youth, elders - who have tirelessly contributed to society throughout their lives are frequently neglected and isolated, especially those living in old age homes. Hiriyara Jaatre serves as a joyful, respectful occasion to celebrate and engage these senior citizens, ensuring they feel valued, connected, and supported. By bringing the community together around this event, VTVO fosters intergenerational bonding, raises awareness about elder care, and offers a platform where elders can share their stories, wisdom, and experiences. This initiative aligns perfectly with VTVO’s mission to uplift every generation and build a compassionate society where no one is left alone or forgotten.
